Amy Hennig is working with Skydance Media to develop a narrative-driven action-adventure Marvel game

Former Uncharted series director Amy Hennig revealed that she is working with Skydance Media to develop a Marvel game.

Skydance hires Hennig to lead a new department As early as 2019, a game focused on narrative was developed in the studio; now we know more about her first game there… well. We know this is a Marvel game, but it is currently an unannounced title, so we don’t know which superhero or villain we will play. However, we do know what kind of experience this will be.

“Skydance New Media, the new interactive division of Skydance Media, headed by award-winning writer and director Amy Hennig, today announced a collaboration with Marvel Entertainment to develop a narrative-driven blockbuster action-adventure game with a completely original story and In the Marvel Universe,” Press release read. “This marks the first move of the new AAA game studio, which is composed of Hennig and electronic arts veteran Julian Beak, aiming to create a new category of story-centric interactive entertainment-games, movies and TV Groundbreaking integration.”

Narrative-driven blockbuster action adventure sounds a lot like Uncharted, right? No matter what the game is, Hennig seems to be at home.

Skydance has assembled what it calls “a team of outstanding developers with decades of AAA experience in the field of action and adventure games”, as well as consultants from the world of film, TV and comics. According to the press release, the team focused on creating “high-fidelity and rich interactive experiences for traditional gaming platforms” and emerging streaming media platforms.

“For our first game, I can’t imagine a better partner than Marvel,” Hennig said. “The Marvel Universe gathers all the action, mystery and excitement of the vulgar adventure type I like, and perfectly provides an interactive experience. It is an honor to be able to tell an original story full of humanity, complexity and sense of humor. This makes Marvel The characters are so enduring and allow our players to embody these heroes they love.”
