A huge player in the music field made his debut on PlayStation 5 today. You may have heard of it. This is a small service called Apple Music.
Published on PlayStation Blog Today, the release of Apple Music on PS5 makes Sony’s flagship gaming device the first game console to “introduce an integrated Apple Music experience.” You are not limited to music collections purchased over the years. The app contains all the music selections, playlists and radio stations of Apple Music, but unfortunately does not include podcasts. Here are the expectations that users can get from the Apple Music app:
“Starting today, PS5 users who subscribe to Apple Music can enjoy more than 90 million songs from Apple Music, tens of thousands of selected playlists, 4K music videos, Apple Music Radio today’s popular, classic and country live broadcasts, and personalized playback The list is based on your music preferences.”
All music can be listened to in the background while playing the game, so if you want to turn down the game’s music and make your own playlist, to some extent, you can. Or by finding the music function card in the PS5 Control Center, Apple Music subscribers can “find recommendations that match the game they are currently playing, or choose from playlists in their library or other game playlists curated by Apple Music .”
Perhaps the most impressive technology is seamless music video playback, but keep in mind “I don’t know when I will do this”. This feature allows you to watch music videos in the Apple Music app and seamlessly switch to the same music running in the background of the game. The impressive part is that it works another way of watching music videos by listening from the background, accurately choosing your position in the song.
If you are an Apple Music subscriber and happen to have a PlayStation 5, then the app can now download and listen to the music deep in your heart. If not, you can still rely on the Spotify app.
