Earlier this week, a leaked July 29 release date for the long-awaited Digimon Survive was circulated on gaming sites and social media. Today, Bandai Namco is officially announced.
In a succinct video message, Digimon Survival producer Kazumasa Habu confirmed the July date, which appears to be the global release date given that pre-orders are now live on retail sites. Check out his message below.
The release confirmation ends a long wait for Digimon fans; Survive was first announced in 2018, with a 2019 release date. This turn-based strategy game follows a group of teenagers and their respective Digimon buddies who find their way to the digital world on a school camping trip. Goggle-wearing protagonist Takuma Momozuka and his partner Agumon lead the gang to save the world from an unknown threat. You can watch the latest English-language trailer here.
Digimon Survival will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
