As predicted, DICE has already announced in advance about Battlefield 2042 Official beta version. After the Bilibili leak earlier today, the developers have now confirmed the date and details of the game’s public beta and its early access period.
The Battlefield 2042 beta will run from October 6th to 9th. Players who pre-order the game and EA Play members will receive the beta version on October 6th and 7th. The beta version will be open to everyone else on October 8th and will end the next day.
Starting from October 5th, all players can preload on all platforms 11pm Pacific Time (October 4th), 2am Eastern Time, 7am UK On the PC, on the console one hour later. The test version itself also started at the same time. The Battlefield 2042 beta will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
Although the available content is roughly the same, just like the main game itself, previous generation consoles were limited to 64 players in multiplayer games, while PC and PS5/Xbox Series X|S can hold up to 128 players.
Speaking of content, the beta will only include the conquest on the map track (the one that launched the rocket from the reveal trailer). Players will have access to the four experts in the game-the same as the four previously announced: Boris, Casper, Falke and McKay.
In addition to today’s news, EA also released a short game trailer showing some of Orbital’s actions. You can watch it above.
