Battlefield 2042 postponed to November

DICE officially announced the postponement of the release on Wednesday night Battlefield 2042The game was originally scheduled to be released on October 22, and will now be launched on November 19.

The news was shared on the social channels of DICE and Battlefield via the very popular statement JPEG. The developer cited the “unforeseen challenges” of building ambitious games during the global pandemic.

DICE said: “We had hoped that our team would come back to our studio together when we started launching.”

“Because current conditions do not allow this to happen safely, plus all the hard work the team does at home, we think it’s important to spend extra time to realize the vision of Battlefield 2042 for our players.”

The announcement also hinted that the public beta originally scheduled for this month may have been postponed. According to DICE, the news of the public beta will be announced later this month.

Just after some insiders claimed that the game would be postponed for a few hours. This is not the first Battlefield game to be postponed before its release-Battlefield 5 was also postponed from October to November-but Battlefield 2042 is definitely the last moment.
