Bethesda teases a new Doom Eternal Tribe mode in the biggest free update, to be released next week

Bethesda Softworks and iD Software released a trailer for the arcade-style tribal mode in the upcoming Doom Eternal.

The new tribe mode will be available in the 6.66 update (good job, Bethesda), which will be available in the game on October 26th. Bethesda said that this update is the largest free update of Doom Eternal to date.

“Doom Eternal’s update 6.66 will be released on 10/26,” Bethesda wrote in the description of the trailer. “Our biggest free update to date will include a new arcade-style tribal mode, battle mode 2.0 with a new arena and winning streak-based rewards, two new master levels, and more.”

Didn’t say much about the update, although Bethesda will play a new tribal mode tonight For fans who want to see it sooner.

In the trailer, we see Doom Guy preparing to meet, uh, an onslaught of a group of enemies. There is also a brief glimpse at the end of the arcade mode. We Doom Slayer picks up a 4x picker and it activates a golden score multiplier. We also saw a score tracker next to the wave tracker in the upper right corner, which allows players to know which wave of enemies they are facing in the clan mode.

As you would expect from Doom Eternal, it looks fast-paced and bloody. The 6.66 update will go live on October 26th next week.
