Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Here’s how to get into the Early Access beta

Infinity Ward and Activision Blizzard have revealed that Call of Duty: The next “franchise showcase” will air next month, revealing the future of the franchise.

More specifically, it will air on September 15 and will “provide detailed innovation information, real-time gameplay, and much more,” including the following:

  • The looming future of Call of Duty: Details on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, information on the next Call of Duty: Warzone, and more on Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile (also known as Project Aurora)
  • Full Modern Warfare II Multiplayer Showcase
  • Numerous popular Call of Duty streamers play these games in real time
  • “Additional information and surprises”

Alongside the announcement, Infinity Ward detailed its upcoming early access to Modern Warfare II via pre-order beta, open beta, and more.

Here’s how to get into Early Access Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Betas

  • PlayStation Early Access: Pre-order the game on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 4 to receive a beta code that will run from September 16th at 10AM PT until September 20th.
  • PlayStation Open Beta: This beta will run from September 18th at 10AM PT until September 20th and will be accessible to all PlayStation players regardless of pre-order status.

The second beta weekend will be available on all consoles and PC, and will feature cross-play.

  • Xbox and PC Early Access: Anyone who pre-orders the game on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One or PC (via Blizzard Battle.net or Steam) can test it out from September 22nd at 10AM PT until September 26th.
  • Xbox and PC Open Beta: This beta is available to all Xbox and PC players, regardless of pre-order status, from September 24th at 10AM PT until September 26th.
  • PlayStation Open Beta: This beta will be available to all PS5/PS4 players, regardless of pre-order status, from September 22nd at 10AM PT until September 26th.

“This Modern Warfare beta will deliver a powerful multiplayer experience beyond the core 6v6 experience, including a variety of carefully designed maps of all sizes, and equally impressive modes, progression experiences and other aspects that will be enhanced The full reveal is in Call of Duty: The Next.”

You can check out the test flight for the Marina Bay Grand Prix, “The battle takes place in the main infield of the city circuit, one of the main 6v6 multiplayer maps confirmed for beta,” below:
