Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific Season 2 Delay Addresses Persistent Issues

Season 2 of Call of Duty: Pioneer and Pacific Theater has been delayed.

Originally set to land on February 1st, Season 2 will now begin two weeks later on February 14th. As for why, it’s to give Sledgehammer Games and the other teams behind Call of Duty: Pioneer and Warzone Pacific more time to address the issues players have across those two titles, as well as Modern Warfare.

“We can feel your frustration and hear you clearly,” a Call of Duty Blog Post Content posted today. “To date, we have deployed many dates, but more work needs to be done. For this reason, we have decided to reschedule the start of the second season of Warzone Pacific and Vanguard to February 14. We will take advantage of this Additional development time to deliver updates including gameplay optimization, game balance (including weapon and gear balance) to fix game stability and bugs, and to ensure overall level refinement to improve Vanguard, Warzone Pacific, Black Ops Cold War The player experience with Modern Warfare.”

Upcoming updates will improve quality of life and make adjustments to the core game loop, mechanics, and balance.

“Going forward, you can expect to hear from us more frequently about the state of the Call of Duty game,” the blog wrote. “The studio remains focused on continuously improving your gaming experience, and we take our community feedback very seriously. More frequent and detailed communication updates will be posted here and on Call of Duty social channels.”

As for when these updates mentioned in the blog post will arrive, no date was mentioned, although there could be an important date for the start of the second season on February 14.
