Change your battle tag for free in Overwatch

To commemorate the name change of Gunner Cole Cassidy (formerly McCree), Activision Blizzard provided Overwatch players with an opportunity to change their name. Well, their BattleTag.

Have an embarrassing or outdated BattleTag you want to replace? Starting today and continuing until November 5th, you can give yourself a new name in Overwatch.Announced on the Overwatch website, here is Official Announcement Promotions:

“When we launch a new name, you may want to do the same. Starting on October 22, 2021 and continuing until November 5, 2021, all players will get a free BattleTag name change. This applies to no current Anyone at has a free name change available. Existing name changes will not be stacked for future use.”

Yes, it is open to any player with an existing BattleTag, but each account can only be changed once for free. You’d better choose a good nickname for this freebie, because using the service again will cost you money.
