Cyberpunk 2077 sales exceed 18 million, first expansion next year

CD Projekt announces in its latest financial report Cyberpunk 2077 As of April 14, 2022, more than 18 million copies have been sold.

The last number shared was in December 2020, and the game was reported to have sold over 13 million copies worldwide. SuperData estimates that 10.2 million are digital units, and the game has digital sales of $609 million as of December 31, 2020.

According to CDP, the game’s first expansion pack is expected to be released next year. We know at least one is in development and there will be more, but in the meantime, the team is still working on improving the game.

Elsewhere in the report, CDP announced The Witcher 3 Since its release in 2015, it has sold more than 40 million units worldwide. The entire Witcher franchise has sold over 65 million copies worldwide.

in the reportthe company also noted that it’s working on a new Witcher game based on Unreal Engine 5, it’s continuing to work on bringing The Witcher 3 to next-gen systems, and it’s working with The Molasses Flood on a future game based on one of its franchises. Announced projects, plans to launch a single-player mode for the Gwent: The Witcher card game, plans to continue supporting Gwent and The Witcher: Monster Slayer, and is working on other unannounced projects.

Sounds like a busy time for the folks at CD Projekt.
