Deep Silver confirms that Dead Island, Saints Row, Metro and TimeSplitters are all absent E3 2021 News

It’s almost E3 time. In short, the game announcement is about to end! Like clockwork, rumors and hype trains run at full speed, making the need to hold back expectations even more important. Deep Silver is doing just that, following the announcement that its parent company, Koch Media, plans to make several announcements for the Summer Game Fest with Geoff Keighley.

The company used Twitter to set a more realistic lens for what Koch Media would show off, and confirmed that there was no news about Dead Island, Saints Row, Metro, or Time Splitters. This is great, as there have been rumors about each title in the last few weeks.

The Koch Media event will begin live on June 11th at 12:00 pm Pacific time. No one knows what they have to share, but at least they know what to exclude before the festival kick-off.

For Summer Game Fest, the next showcase will feature musical talent, world premiere and more. “The idea is to have a big kick-off show this year,” Cary said earlier. “Last year everything was very disjointed due to the nature of the pandemic. And feedback from everyone wants these game shows together. It’s a big event for publishers. This is what people wanted. We want to make things more and things are more condensed and united. Therefore, people have dates and times to appear for the news. That’s what we’re trying to do. is.”

The upcoming showcases are exciting, but Cary has his own expectations management. He added in his first announcement that gamers need to “manage their expectations” more for every event, not just the Summer Gamefest. With so many large-scale events planned at E3, The Game Awards, Gamescom, etc., Summer Games Fest is not a replacement for those showcases, but an addition to them.

Don’t expect the latest information from Konami or Hollow Knight: Silksong, as you’re easing your expectations for E3 early on.
