Undoubtedly, the best raid to take part in any of Destiny’s games will be back this weekend at Destiny 2: Season of Splicer. Bungie isn’t a new game technically, so we’ve already elaborated on how to handle World’s First that we can catch up with here, but in the latest blog post from the team, new rewards and players know I’m sharing some other updates that should be kept.
Everything starts at 10am Pacific Standard Time on May 22nd. The Guardian goes to Venus again to challenge the Vault of Glass, but World First activates contest mode as usual. There are also some pretty sweet rewards on the line. First of all, there are some things you need to know.by Bungee:
- The Vault of Glass will be available 24 hours a day, with contest mode enabled, starting at 10am on Saturday, May 22nd.
- It must be 1300 power to reach the upper limit of all encounters.
- Activating the contest mode and clearing the raid is the first step for the director to access the new challenge mode.
- Completing each encounter in this newly unlocked Challenge mode while completing a list of curated Triumphs will determine how your fire team will cross the World First finish line.
- To get rid of guesswork, in challenge mode, the team wipes if the Triumph condition fails during the encounter.
Now let’s talk about rewards! For players who have completed the raid by 9:59 AM PST on May 25, there is a special Vault of Glass raid ring that can be purchased from the Bungie Store.
If it doesn’t meet the fire team deadline, another reward is available. If you clear the raid before June 1st at the same time, you will get the following Vault of Glass Raid jackets.
However, not all are provided. There are also some small rewards available, including the new Raise a Glass emblem, special pins, and new raid-inspired art prints.
But what else is new? You may remember that at the beginning of the new season, cross-play was accidentally triggered early. I didn’t intend to release it until Season 15, but some wires crossed … well, it was there. This has been fixed, but Bungie has confirmed that a cross-play beta will be available next week. This allows players to team up with Guardians, regardless of platform.
There is one caveat to cross-play. I still can’t create my own fire team and I don’t have the option to invite friends. Bungy says he’s still working on the cross-play matchmaking aspect to prepare for Season 15.
There is another one. If you have Twitch Prime (if you have Amazon Prime, you can use it automatically), there are several other giveaways available.
As a prize for this month’s Twitch Prime, Guardians can expect the Vigilance Wing Exotic Pulse Rifle, the Book of the Dead Exotic Ornament, the Ravager’s Ride Exotic Sparrow, and the House of Light Legendary Ghost projection.
For RAID enthusiasts, it’s all over soon. Are you ready?
