Destruction AllStars studio is developing Twisted Metal PS5-report

a new one Twisted metal According to a new report, this game is being developed by Destruction AllStars studio Lucid Games for PS5.

according to VGCThe Liverpool-headquartered studio has handed over the reign of the first Twisted Metal game in the past ten years, and it should be launched in time to coincide with the upcoming Twisted Metal TV series announced by Sony a few years ago. This TV show starring Anthony Mackay is the first project of PlayStation Productions.

A person familiar with Lucid’s plan told VGC that the revival game will be “built around a free-to-play game model,” partly because “Destroy All Stars” turned into a PlayStation Plus game at the last minute when it was released.

It makes sense for Sony to focus on Lucid for this project. Destruction AllStars puts vehicle combat at the top and center. Despite the lack of content at the time of release, the game has been well received by critics and consumers.

It remains to be seen whether the game will maintain the tone of the upcoming show — around a character named John Doe and a car thief hired to carry packages through the post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The show sounds a bit off the original PlayStation game that landed on the console in 1995, but we are willing to give it a chance. After all, it was written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernicke, the ideas behind Deadpool and Zombie Land.
