Discord is down again today, but only very briefly

Discord suffered a widespread outage in January, and something similar appears to be happening again, except for a much shorter duration.
At 11:25 a.m. PT on Tuesday, the chat app said it was investigating a login issue, with PC Gamer workers in the US and UK unable to connect.Not just us: Hashtag ‘#discorddown’ begins trending on twitter.
“We are investigating reports of some issues with sending messages, logging in and accessing videos and are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible,” discord say on Twitter. However, just 20 minutes later, the company announced that it had found the cause and fixed it.

“The connection should now be fully restored,” company says. “If you still see the problem, please restart your client.”
Back in January, it took a few hours for Discord to be back in service after we were all locked down by an “API outage” and minor issues with the database cluster. After the issue was resolved, the company said it was “prioritizing the repair of potential failures that occurred.”
Today’s brief outage is due to “general API and session issues” and may not be related to the January outage — Discord says it “rolled back” today’s issue, suggesting that its update ended up breaking things and needed to be undone.
