DNF duel public test starts later today

A new fighting game called DNF Duel based on the classic Neople MMO Dungeon Fighter Online will begin its first beta test later today. The beta version was announced on Sunday in the trailer below and will include 10 characters from the list, all of which are based on the courses available in Dungeon Fighter Online.

Why should you care about fighting games based on Korean MMOs that you may not have heard of or played? DNF Duel was developed by Arc System Works, known for its Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball Fighterz, in cooperation with Eighting, the legendary development team behind fighting games such as Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and Bloody Roar. The lineage behind DNF Duel is legal, and judging from the trailers released in the past few weeks, these characters will look interesting.

The role of DNF Duel is named after its professional archetype, rather than having a substantial background. DNF The ten classes you can try this weekend are Berserker, Ranger, Grabman, Striker, Killer, Inquisitor, Dragon Knight, Kunoichi, Crusader, and Vanguard.

After the announcement in December last year, any news about DNF Duel was hard to come by, and until a few weeks ago, when a large number of character trailers began to be released, the radio was almost silent. Now, with the exposure of all ten fighters in the Beta version this weekend, we can finally see the actual effect of DNF. Regarding the online features that will be stressed and tested this weekend, DNF Duel will implement rollback network codes to achieve smoother remote gaming.

The test will be exclusively conducted on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and will begin at 6 pm Pacific time tonight and will continue until December 20 at 6 am Pacific time. Fighting game fans will not want to play new games this weekend, because this test is the second Beta test of The King of Fighters XV, you can read here.

DNF Duel has no release date and is currently being developed for PS5, PS4 and PC.
