Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: New trailer may tease cameos, Illuminati, Animated Worlds and more

Sure, the Super Bowl was great, but if you’re a comic nerd like me, last night was all about advertising. We took a quick look at the upcoming Disney Plus shows, moon knightlooks great, but more importantly, we’ve been two minutes Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer. What a trailer for that.

Before we start talking about that trailer, we should note things can be broken, especially if you haven’t caught up to the current state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So if it’s you, maybe avoid reading the rest of this story. However, you can watch the trailer below before heading out:

As you can see in the trailer, there’s a lot going on, so we’ll just cover a few highlights:

• Is that a zombie version of Doctor Strange at 2 minutes 6 seconds? The last time we saw a zombie version of Strange was at Marvel’s if…? On Disney Plus.
• Will Wanda and Kiwi become enemies? She doesn’t seem to be too happy about the way she’s been treated for being confused with reality and the way Doctor Strange is seen heroically by the world for doing the same.
• Just in the beginning, we saw Doctor Strange fall in some universes. One of them looks vivid – are we diving if… timeline? – Another prehistoric looking barbarian land.
• Has Doctor Strange been brought to the MCU Illuminati room? That’s not surprising considering Strange is messing with the timeline the Illuminati wants to protect. What’s more, it looks like Mahershala Ali’s blade is in the background – or is this just wishful thinking on our part?
• Is Patrick Stewart’s Professor X in this Illuminati? Because it does sound like him at 1:21.
• Would a scene with two Wandas at 1 minute 50 seconds completely destroy us? Yes, probably.
