Dying Light 2’s first free DLC is Peacekeeper-themed
Techland has committed to supporting Dying Light 2 for at least five years after launch, and we’re about to see the first part of that support in the form of free DLC.This Authority Pack Contains a set of armor and weapons themed around the game’s policing peacekeeping faction.
Judge-Dredd-esque peacekeepers in police-blue riot gear, and their “execute you for jaywalking” buzz is a stark contrast to the game’s other major faction: the Chaos Neutral Party Boy Survivors. There’s no word yet on when the Definitive Pack will be released, other than “soon”, but I have to imagine that Survivor will get a similar gear treatment soon. If you don’t want to play a big-mouthed apocalyptic cop yelling “I am the law” to anyone who will listen, your day will come.
The Definitive Pack will be released in three parts, the first containing a tacticool trench coat and stylish athleisure joggers and sneakers. The second will include wrist guards and gloves to protect your precious digital wrists and fingers, as well as a fitted face shield. The ship seems to be sailing in Veledo long ago, wearing a mask with any public health benefit, but at least you look cool. The final component of the Authority Pack is a large hammer that looks like it’s been cobbled together from car parts.
All in all, it’s a small update, but the armor and weapons look neat, and there’s more to come. I’m certainly envious of Cyberpunk 2077 fans who crave post-launch goodies.
