Everyone’s on the Elden Ring hype…on the bus

everyone is excited Eldon RingThat includes game publisher Bandai Namco, which made sure to alert those in the know about the game’s imminent launch and piqued the interest of UK bus passengers to join the first cohort.

The latest advert for FromSoftware’s next game was spotted in London today, with the entire ad covering a double-decker bus. Takeover ads of this nature are common, even for games, but this is one of the more classic ads that uses in-game art on a dark blue background.

Spotted by Enriquiem (thanks, Mordecai), the ad contains the usual information: release date, PEGI rating, various platforms on which you can play Elden Ring, etc. It also highlights that director Hidetaka Miyazaki and, of course, Game of Thrones author George RR Martin wrote the game’s backstory and lore.

Surprisingly, it also includes a quote from Martin himself, which he actually shared on his blog last year, praising Elden Ring and letting his non-game fans know of its existence.

In a wild hands-on preview of Elden Ring published last week, our own Alex Donaldson called it a potential all-rounder, saying “it has what it takes to be one of the best games ever made, if you can. Hold on to the landing.” .”

Elden Ring will release on February 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. If you’re looking for a roundup of all the pre-order deals and bonuses, check out our Elden Ring pre-order guide.
