We’ve emerged from the depths of the Bioshock franchise to start a new video game season! We’re doing it differently this time because we’re talking about the developer’s gameplay, rather than covering a single game series. The studio is Supergiant Games, a well-known indie developer of Bastion, Transistor, Pyre, and Hades. This week, we wrap up our season with an analysis of the 2020 Hades.
Unlike previous games from Supergiant Games, Hades has two release dates. Its first version launched in Early Access on PC on December 6, 2018, while the full game will start playing on September 17, 2020. Hades has put everything the studio has learned so far into an ambitious game rogue-lite developed in a way the team has never experienced before: the gaming public playing the game while it’s being made.
