Far: Tidal Change | Today’s New Play
Far: Lone Sails was first released in 2018 and has gained a considerable fan base – game informer We gave it an 8.25 in our review – thanks to its unique premise, contemplative gameplay, and fun world design. Developer Okomotive is back with a sequel to this year’s Far: Changing Tides, which promises to bring all the environmental puzzles.
This time, your goal is to move a ship…somewhere. In order to do that, though, you’ll need to find new ways to keep the ship powered, explore how to break through obstacles, and more. In this new installment of today’s new game, your host, game informer Editors Wesley LeBlanc and Ben Reeves talk about the game’s opening 15 minutes and some of the first puzzles.
How does it feel compared to Lone Sail? What’s the narrative like so far? Did the tidal change bring about all the Limbo and Inside-esque world building that Lone Sails did in 2018? Wesley and Ben discuss these issues and more in today’s New Gameplay Today. Thanks for watching, and be sure to tell us what you think of this upcoming puzzle game from Okomotive, coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on March 1st .
