Final Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak digital event set for June 7th

Capcom will host the final Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Next week’s digital event.

It asks players to tune in to find out what’s coming in the bonus update, followed by a developer roundtable where the team thinks about how to bring Rise and Sunbreak to life.

The digital program will be 7am PT, 10am ET, 3pm UK June 7th.

Sunbreak is the main paid expansion pack for Monster Hunter Rise, releasing on PC and Switch in June 2022, adding new armor, monsters, quests, story elements, weapons, and a harder master class. It also brings the Palamute, a new animal companion that can be ridden across the map or into battle. Wirebugs were also introduced and used to traverse the world and mount and ride selected monsters.

Like other games in the series, the expansion pack is centered around monsters. In this case, it’s the ancient dragon Marzeno, but monsters from previous games in the series also appear.

At last count, Monster Hunter Rise has sold more than 12 million copies worldwide and is the sixth mainline entry in the series.

Originally released on Switch in 2021, on PC in 2022, and finally on PlayStation and Xbox in January 2023, Rise is currently available on cloud, console, and Game Pass for PC. It supports cross-play and cross-progression between PlayStation consoles or between PC and Xbox. Sunbreak was released for consoles in April.
