Former Playdead CEO’s new game Somerville gets a new trailer

Earlier today, Microsoft’s E3 showcase unveiled Somerville’s new gameplay trailer. The game resembles the title and eerie developed by Inside and Limbo maker Playdead. This is thanks to Jumpship, the developer of Somerville, who is affiliated with the former CEO and co-founder of Playdead. Dino Patty Back in 2017.

The trailer neglected the overall details, but briefly described the game’s ostensible main cast: mother, father, and little kid. At first glance, a natural disaster shakes the earth, and the three must face the difficulties after the destruction of the world. The trailer showed off many levels of the game, including beaches, mines, and underwater sections. Like Inside, this game is a side-scrolling adventure game with futurist elements added above. The trailer gives you a quick glimpse of the teleporting gunman, the floating monolith, and the chaotic destruction that the monolith causes as it falls from the sky.

Somerville will be released in 2022 and will be available on the Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and PC. The game is also available on Microsoft’s subscription service, Game Pass, from day one.
