Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2: Start Date, Battle Pass, and Everything We Know
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is just around the corner. With the inaugural season entering double-digit weeks, it’s only a matter of time before details of the new season emerge. As always, you can expect some major gameplay changes from Epic, a new Battle Pass, and maybe even a new map location.
Chapter 3 got off to a good start, culminating in Spider-Man, tons of new gameplay mechanics such as sliding and giant-spouting dinosaurs, and a brand new map full of crazy weather effects. So season 2 has big shoes to fill.
Of course, you might just be wondering when Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 begins. That’s why we scoured the internet for all Season 2 leaks, rumours, and official trailers. Below, you’ll find a guide to everything we know (and everything we don’t, which could fill a book), including the Season 2 start date, Battle Pass details, and more.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Start Date
Based on information we’ve seen on the Season 1 Battle Pass page, Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is expected to kick off around March 20. It’s also worth noting that the 20th is a Sunday, so Epic may choose to start Season 2 on March 20th one business day after the 20th.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 Leaked
Leaks have been a bit sporadic so far, but reliable data miner HypeX has uncovered a new tank vehicle codenamed “TreadVehicle” that we suspect will make a difference in Season 2. The vehicle can actually be found at the Logjam Lumberyard, but it cannot be driven.
Last month, another data miner named Tabor Hill also posted video Details a suspected war between the IO Force and the Seven.
“We will be in, almost like a war with the IO people. The IO is back with revenge,” they said. “We flipped the map and made them go crazy and the beehives were hit. They were here for revenge. So if they were going to fight us and the seven they were going to need some serious gear like [the drill]. “
HypeX similarly speculates that IO is drilling the map to reach the sideline players and the currently inhabited Seven. They shared images of five sites they suspected would become IO bases before the earthquake.
IO and Slone are most likely to drill into this map. Scientists warn us about earthquake challenges, and there’s an unreleased “Drill Beacon/Scanner” gadget. And these upcoming IO locations. We might even get Snow Slone in one of them. pic.twitter.com/qLyeEKdaYPDecember 10, 2021
In terms of gameplay, we may see the addition of a tactical dash mechanic, according to reports HypeX. There is also said to be a “climbing” mechanic, which suggests that players can climb structures with their hands. In my opinion, this means something like Breath of the Wild’s stamina climbing, or maybe a ledge grab for a first-person parkour game.
