Our own senior editor, Brian Shea, reviewed this entry in the motorsport spin-off series, and he was dazzled by the visual effects and attracted by all the activities. The following is an excerpt from his comment:
Driving Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 is a very enjoyable experience, thanks to the excellent dynamic driving mechanisms that take into account the terrain, weather and handling of the 500+ vehicles you drive. Forza Horizon 5 aptly demonstrated this through the incredible opening sequence, where different cars fell from the plane and landed in different biomes, sandstorms, winding rivers and open straights, All of these are accompanied by music. However, as you travel around the world longer, Horizon further emphasizes the differences in handling and excellent mechanics.
