Forza Horizon 5 takes players to Mexico in November this year

When new consoles are released, platform owners often turn to racing games to showcase the power of the new system. This is common in the past, with franchises such as Project Gotham Racing and Gran Turismo, but so far Xbox has only released a new generation update for Forza Horizon 4. However, at today’s Xbox Showcase at E32021, Playground Games revealed Forza. The next article on the popular open world racing franchise, Horizon5.

Forza Horizon 5 stamps a Mexican passport after Forza Horizon 3 takes us to Australia and Horizon 4 takes us to the UK. According to Playground Games, the game features the largest and most diverse open world in the history of the series. The studio advertises the power of the Xbox Series X / S console as so powerful that it can render the last details of the world, down to the individual needles of a cactus. According to Playground, the Mexican interpretation is “honest, genuine and full of love.” You’ll find players sprint through idyllic seaside towns, discover scenic waterfalls, barrel down desert highways, and race along rocky volcanoes. Playground Games used a special HDR camera to capture real-world footage of the Mexican sky at an astonishing 12K resolution. The photo-realistic sky made possible by the Xbox Series X / S brings dynamic lighting for more immersive visuals and a new volume lighting system that accurately captures humidity in settings such as the rainforest.

The gameplay demo on the Xbox showcase introduced Expedition, a new racing game mode that explores new places and finds places where the Horizon Festival can grow. In Expedition’s gameplay demo, two players are following the river towards some ruins. After dodging some flamingos, the duo arrives at some impressive Mayan ruins, the ancient city of Uxmal. That part of the demo ends when the player arrives in Uxmal, but the video is cut by other players in the vast Mexican open world. Thanks to the power of the new console and Xbox infrastructure, every Speedster you encounter is a real player.

Forza Horizon 5 also uses a new AI system that tracks play and suggests your favorite activities. In one sequence, a player has started a mini-game and encourages another player who likes the mini-game to be invited to the session. When a player accepts an invitation, the two players are seamlessly linked and the GPS route is updated. Mini-games bring together multiple players in a session of the game called Pinata Pop. In this game, the player needs to smash the pinatas that have been dropped from the freighter to the ground. Forza Horizon 5 also includes Event Labs, a new mode where you can create your own racing, game modes, and gameplay experiences in case that’s not enough. In the gameplay demo shown, players are driving a stadium, knocking down bowling pins, flying to new platforms with huge fans, and performing stunts like barrel rolls.
