Freedom Planet 2 will be released on consoles including Switch next summer

Believe it or not, it’s been almost 7 years since GalaxyTrail announced that Freedom Planet 2 was in development. Since then, GalaxyTrail has made many updates to the game. Finally, after years of development, the game is about to be released.

With the game itself nearing completion, GalaxyTrail has officially announced on Twitter that a console port of Freedom Planet 2 is “in development.” The game will first launch on PC and Linux on September 13, which the team initially confirmed earlier this year. It will be ported to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S in summer 2023. Their tweets are shown below.
