Genshin Impact Version 2.5 Live Recap – Everything in the Next Major Update

This Genshin Impact version 2.5 update live It’s just over, and with it a ton of new information has been posted to the internet for the community to pick and choose before the official launch.If you don’t have time to watch the whole thing, this Version 2.5 Live Review Perfect for you!

A new trailer, as well as a new character’s appearance, events, story missions and event banners have all been revealed! Not only that, but there was a brief spike in the next update – version 2.6 was also shown. It can all be found below!

Genshin Impact 2.5 – New Story and New Characters

First up is the trailer (embedded above), which brings us back to Ekonomiya. This new area was added as part of a previous update and appears to be where the next steps in the Genshin Impact story are set. We should also find some new enemies there – Shadow Shells – which are powerful humanoids that use elemental damage to make traversing underground caverns more dangerous.

Next up is Yae Miko’s stealth peak – the next new character to appear in Genshin Impact 2.5. As a four-star Electrocatalyst user, the Yae Miko deals massive damage by leaving an electric trap behind her, which can then burst for additional damage. This character will be available as part of the Everbloom Violet event wish, which will arrive in the first half of the major update.

There’s also a new catalyst weapon called the Kagura Verity for those who come into contact with the Yap Miko. We’re not sure how to get it yet, but information on how players can get this 5-star weapon will be released soon.

There’s also a new boss fighting an enemy that looks like Raiden Shogun, but apparently isn’t quite The same guy.. While we’re not sure why the similarity is so uncanny, we did get a glimpse of some of their unique attacks, including massive sweeping attacks and a range of electronic moves.

In the second half of the 2.5 update, players can earn Raiden through an event banner that reruns with Sangonomiya. So if you haven’t picked up these primo gems, save them!

Both characters also get new story content! So for those looking to learn more about Lightning, Raiden, or Yae Miko, so long as they all catch up with the main story missions currently available in the game, do so!

Genshin Impact 2.5 – New and returning events

With Update 2.5, tons of new events are coming! The first is the Three Realms Portal Dedication event, which created a corrosive darkness in the region. To fix this, players will have to use new gadgets and their wits to earn exclusive rewards.

Next up is Devine Ingenuity, a unique interpretation of the typical domain events we’ve seen in the past. Here, players will be able to create their own domain name for others to use – all you have to do is create it and share it with other players for some precious rewards.

Then there’s Of Drink A-Dreaming – a (definitely non-alcoholic) bar mini-game. In this case, players have to create custom cocktails for customers based on their specific needs.

Finally, we have two combat trails to return. Both the Hyakunin Ikki and Spillmaster events will be released during Update 2.5, so make sure your team is properly leveled up before these events drop.

Genshin Impact 2.5 – Version 2.6 Divide Announcement

Finally, after months of speculation, it has been confirmed! Chasm will be the next new area we’ll be able to explore, and while we don’t know much about it, in addition to its introduction in version 2.6, we’re showing some concept art for the new area. Exciting stuff!
