After announcing a few days ago, Sony showed off the first footage of Alan Wake Remastered at their PlayStation 5 showcase this afternoon. Epic Games is now releasing the title as it reappears on various platforms. Check out the first shot that was remade below.
In this new lens, we can see the bright waterfall and the deciduous area around it. Alan starts a single-player mission with a gun and flashlight to rescue his wife Alice. This remake is giving this 11-year-old game a big makeover. The resolution and texture have obviously been improved. But for the Alan Wake experience, the most important thing is that the lighting seems to have been greatly improved.
Originally released on Xbox 360 in 2010, Remedy’s Alan Wake followed a thriller on a supernatural journey in the fictional Washington town of Bright Falls. Alan Wake is deeply inspired by the twists and turns of stories like Shuangfeng, and allows players to experience psychological stimulation through a large number of actions and puzzle-solving elements.
Remedy’s Alan Wake Remastered was released on October 5th and is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
