We saw for the first time Ares Gods Twilight Tonight during the PlayStation Showcase.
According to Santa Monica Studios, the game started to develop a few years after the events of “God of War” (2018). Among them, the interaction between father and son will be a bit complicated, especially with the disclosure of Atreus’ giant legacy and “hidden prophecy only seen by Kratos.”
Like most young people, Atreus is curious in the game and tries to understand who he is and who he might be. The mystery of Rocky’s role in the upcoming conflict is that Atreus can’t let go. While he wants to protect the safety of his family, he doesn’t want to stand by and watch the Nine Realms conflict rampantly.
As far as Kratos is concerned, he still “bears his wrong knowledge of the past” and hopes that Atreus will learn from the conflict with the gods. He wanted to protect his son’s safety, and their confrontation with Bode convinced him that further interaction with Aesir would only bring tragedy.
The two can choose which way to go.
In the trailer, we saw two main opponents: Freya and Thor.
Because of Kratos’ behavior at the end of the previous game, Freya vowed to avenge her son Bode’s death and will use all the weapons she can use against the murderer of her son.
Then Thor also lost his son and half-brother, so his anger turned to Kratos and Atreus. He will be a very strong opponent.
In the game, you can expect to use new offensive abilities, a new Atreus rune summon and the return of Kratos’ legendary weapons.
The battle will also include choices, such as whether to use powerful combos, become the master of the elements, or whether to use defensive tactics. No matter which combat strategy you choose, just know that the enemy is ready, and as the realm becomes more and more harsh, new creatures from Norse mythology (such as Stalker and Dreki) are ready to test your skills.
In the previous title, you can visit six of the nine realms, and in Ragnarok, you can visit all nine realms. You will be able to visit Vanaheim, Svartalfheim and Asgard, as well as the regions and locations that have been introduced before.
Sony Santa Monica promises that this part of the series will bring you “a more diverse, beautiful and mysterious location than any other God of War game.”
This is the ending of the Nordic legend, and there is no set release date for 2022.
