Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy, GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas remake series, launched this year

Rockstar Games celebrated the 20th anniversary of the release of Grand Theft Auto III and confirmed that the 2001 classic game with Vice City and San Andreas will be re-released to modern consoles and PCs in a special series.

The previously rumored series is called Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy-Definitive Edition. A lot of graphics and gameplay improvements have been made to these three games, making GTA a household name. Rockstar did not disclose what these specific enhancements are, but promised to disclose more information in the coming weeks. Regardless of the upgrade, Rockstar said the game still retains its classic look and feel.

The final version will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC through the Rockstar Games Launcher later this year. It will also land on iOS and Android in the first half of 2022.

In order to make way for the series, Rockstar also announced that it will remove the existing version of each game from the digital store next week.
