Squanch Games’ upcoming first-person shooter High On Life from Justin Roiland has been delayed.
Originally set to release this October, High On Life is now coming to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on December 13, 2022. It joins various other games that were delayed this week, like Planet Lana and Wicked West, for a similar reason: The team needed more time to make the game its best.
Here’s the studio’s full statement on the delay:
“We have good news and bad news. Feel free to choose which option you want to read first; we will not interfere with your free will.
good news: High On Life 2022 is still coming! The team at Squanch Games is hard at work developing the best gaming experience to hit your screen, and taking a little extra time to iron out some bugs never hurts. With that in mind, our new release date is set for December 13, 2022.
bad news: The game is delayed, sorry! Please accept the link animation as an apology since we’re making you wait another 6 weeks or so.
“High On Life will be available through Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Windows PC, Day One on Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Thank you for your continued patience and support.”
As for the linked animation mentioned in the statement above, you can watch it below:
While you wait for High On Life, find a wife for this 500-pound, diaper-wearing alien. Please. He won’t leave me alone.
