this Animal Crossing: New Horizons The 2.0 update is coming soon. Many of us are working hard to prepare the islands-from those who have left and need repairs to the designers who have filled their islands and need to make way for agriculture.
But some of us (me) have other plans.
My island is inverse mullet. The front is the party, and the back is the straight line. To be clear, by “straight line” I mean nothing. This is because I started playing it on the day it was released and stopped after four months. If you think I will prepare before the update, then you are wrong. My genius plan is to do nothing and then do whatever I want.
Once, I made a grand plan for my island, and I humbly named it “island”. I’ve been hopping islands-I would say to visit “friends”, but that is a lie. I did this because I found people on Reddit with good prices for carrots.
For some reason, I want my island to shine for these strangers. I founded a garden center, where I made rows of flowers and their hybrid flowers, planning to give them to tourists. I carefully studied Island Tours for several hours, trying to find the right alchemy for the front door of the Island-it currently has a good combination of door and shrub types. I even built a community for my villagers. I want to be one of those cool people who put furniture outside.
But then I felt indifferent to putting the furniture outside. I was tired, my excitement disappeared. I started to modify the topography of the back and plan to build a bridge. Then I didn’t. Then I didn’t bother to take the pole out and cross from land to land, so I didn’t go there anymore. Laziness is just snowballing.
It started to feel like work. This is not the way I want to play games-to quote Ali Wong, “I don’t want to lean on it. I want to lie down.” All great things take time. I just don’t like it. There are no extra Nook Miles or bells for me. My island map is just a large group of houses near the bottom, with a lot of blank space at the top. Can I use this space to make a farm? Yes. Will I still let weeds over the farm? Also, yes.
Therefore, there is no plan for any island renewal plan. I am with you.
