Japan: Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl sold 1.4 million boxes in the first 3 days, Switch released the second largest

Japanese sales tracker Famitsu reported today that the recently released Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl had retail sales of 1,395,642 million boxes in the first three days of the game’s release. This number includes retail copies, Pokemon double packs, and download card purchases, and does not include digital eShop sales. The only game in Japan with a larger circulation on Nintendo Switch is Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which sold 1,880,626 physical copies in the first three days. The original game on Nintendo DS sold 1.586 million units in four days.
