Konami’s eFootball 1.0 release was postponed until next year, and its mobile version seems to be postponed indefinitely.
This news comes from a New blog post from Konami This details what happened in this iteration of eFootball. The team needs more time to develop the 1.0 update and eliminate the current bugs in the current “demo” version of the game. This is what Konami is referring to at this point in time, as pointed out IGN.
“We would like to inform you that the v1.0.0 update of eFootball 2022, originally scheduled to be released on November 11, 2021, has been postponed to spring 2022,” the blog post reads. “In addition, we would like to announce the cancellation and automatic refund of eFootball 2022 Premium Player Pack, which includes items that can only be used in the game after the v1.0.0 update.”
Konami said that it has been working hard to release updates to bring new content to the game, including a new mode of the series, players can “enhance and play with the original team”, and a mobile version for the market. However, these mobile versions seem to be postponed indefinitely.
“Unfortunately, we concluded that more time is needed to deliver a product of the quality expected by users and decided to postpone delivery,” the blog post reads.
At the same time, Konami will release v0.9.1 from today to “fix a large number of bugs on each platform in turn”, and over time, it will continue to improve and update eFootball 2022. More updates and detailed information about the mobile version will be in the coming days.
