Those who already had access to the game and wanted to jump in early to avoid this surge were out of luck, as the initial four-hour maintenance period, followed by a six-hour delay in the release, prevented them from getting a worthy spot.
In many Lost Ark community spaces, whether it’s the official Discord, Reddit or Twitter, those eager to play are sharing their feelings about the insurmountable wait that awaits them – often in the form of screenshots showing what they need How long to wait to finally play the game, the occasional great meme.
That’s not surprising given the pre-existing log-in queue at peak times for people paying cash for the game during the Early Access launch. As we previously reported, the game hit 500,000 concurrent players on Steam earlier this week, a huge number that shows just how hungry people are for a great MMO right now.
If this sounds familiar, that’s because this isn’t the first time the popular MMO has had success in recent memory. Final Fantasy 14 had to stop buying their game after a large number of players tried to access the recently released Endwalker expansion pack.
