Mario + Rabbids has a sequel, but you already knew it.
If it wasn’t leaked in advance, today Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope The announcement at the Ubisoft Forward E3 2021 showcase would have surprised almost everyone. Nonetheless, fans of Switch’s acclaimed strategy games are getting a sequel.
In today’s presentation, we had the gameplay seen first (read it and make it clear).
Coming to Switch in 2022, Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, Rabbids Mario, and Rabbids Peach will team up to take on Casa and the new villain known as her minions.
Kursa apparently “has confused the galaxy” because of its evil influence. It also consumes the energy of Spark, a new character formed by the fusion of Luma and Rabbids. The character travels through the galaxy to save the planet, rescue the sparks, and defeat Casa.
It also became clear that there was a new combat system. You can use it to form a team of 3 heroes from a 9 roster. Only this time, combat is a combination of real-time action and turn-based tactics.
During the hero’s turn, you can freely move in the designated area, hide, team jump to allies, and dash to enemies.
The inclusion of Sparks makes gameplay even more tactical. There are dozens of creatures, each with different powers and abilities. These special abilities and powers can be used in combat to gain an edge in combat, but first you need to find and rescue them from the evil effects of Casa.
Details of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be shared as the game approaches its 2022 release.
