“Monster Hunter Rise” will usher in a “mass expansion” called Sunbreak

In today’s Nintendo Direct event, the new content of Monster Hunter Rise exclusive to Switch kicked off. This new content pack called Sunbreak is a “mass expansion” of Monster Hunter Rise and will be launched in 2022.

The short look is only about one minute, but it feels much shorter. The world of Sunbreak features a moonlit castle, a shot of Rathalos soaring in a deep purple sky, and a new flying bipedal dragon with crimson wings and dark air around it. .

Nintendo’s Yoshiaki Koizumi provided some small details about the expansion after the trailer. He said that Capcom is developing many new elements for Monster Hunter Rise to add to the expansion. Sunbreak will include new stories, locals, monsters, new hunting operations, and mission levels for players to explore. Because it is an extension, Sunbreak will be a paid DLC, different from other DLCs of Rise this year.

Are there any monsters you are looking forward to returning in the Sunbreak expansion? What do you think of the design of the new monster in the trailer? Let us know in the comments.
