Neo: The world ends with you getting a demo and a final trailer

If you’re a fan of The World Ends with You, you’ll soon be able to try out the sequel, The World Ends with You. Square Enix will launch a free demo of the game for PlayStation 4 and Switch tomorrow, June 25th. The publisher also released the final big trailer of the title prior to its launch next month.

In the demo, players will be able to experience the first two days of Reaper’s Game. Players control the main character Lind and his fellow frets to fight noise and experiment with different ability-giving pins. In addition to tasting the early story beats of the game, you can also take part in side quests and now fully explore Shibuya in 3D. The progress of the demo will be carried over to the main game, so take the time to delve into it.

If you need to convince Neo that it’s worth the time, or if you need the final shot of hype juice, Square has released the final trailer for the game. Time it in more than 5 minutes, if this doesn’t give you a good idea of what to expect, we wouldn’t do anything.

Neo: The World Ends With You will take place three years after the original game event. The new cast features an improved Reaper’s Game that not only pairs, but also lets a complete team of players fight against each other. Lind’s team, Wicked Twisters, is the star of the show, but expects to come across some familiar faces as well. It includes Neku, who says Square plays an important mysterious role in Neo’s plot. Gameplay still revolves around fighting monsters with upgradeable pins for party members, but players control the entire team at the same time in stylish, complete 3D battles. For more information, see the list of important facts we learned about the game from our interview with Square Enix.

Neo: The World Ends With You will be available for PlayStation 4 and Switch on July 27th. The game will also be available on PC later this year. Check out our recent hands-on preview for a detailed impression of Neo’s gameplay.
