Nintendo Acquires SRD – My Nintendo News

Nintendo announced Today, it acquired SRD (Systems Development), the company’s close partner, with whom Nintendo has been working since 1982, when Nintendo began developing the Nintendo Entertainment system. SRD assists in programming almost all of Nintendo’s game consoles, according to Nintendo Wiki. The last game developed by SRD was Game Builder Garage which was released on Nintendo Switch last year. Nintendo said the move will “help strengthen SRD’s management foundation and ensure the availability of Nintendo’s software development resources.”
