Nintendo is updating the Switch’s Nintendo 64 emulator to try and fix graphical bugs in Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Nintendo’s Switch Online subscription service has been getting a lot of attention lately, especially with plans for expansion packs that launched late last year. This is largely due to the release of Banjo-Kazooie on the Nintendo 64 library of the Nintendo Switch Online+ expansion pack.

When Nintendo adds new games to the subscription service’s retro library, the company sometimes updates the inner workings of the retro library, and sometimes even the emulators themselves. For example, it was spotted on Twitter that Nintendo has been tweaking the Switch’s Nintendo 64 emulator to better display the water in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It’s not 100% perfect, and the fog is still going away, but it’s a sign that Nintendo is doing something. You can see a tweet on the matter below.
