Nintendo says it will release a patch later this month to fix the bug that occurred near the end of Metroid Fear

By now, you may have heard of a major bug in Metroid Dread that occurred late in the game. We will not destroy anything, but Nintendo stated that “if the player destroys a door and the map mark of that specific door is displayed on the map, the game will be forcibly closed.” When this happens, you will receive an error message stating that “The software has been closed due to an error.”

Nintendo confirmed earlier tonight that they are aware of this error. In fact, they announced on Twitter that “a patch will be released at the end of October to solve this problem. We apologize for the inconvenience”. Currently, Nintendo recommends that players “remove the door icon map marker to prevent this error.” Their official tweet about the matter is as follows.
