Orchestra’s Kirby cover wins Grammy

The annual Grammys took place last night and, as always, it was a star-studded occasion. Among last night’s many winners was a New York City orchestra for its cover of Meta Knight’s Revenge from the 1996 Super Nintendo game Kirby, which won a Grammy for best arrangement, instrumental or a cappella prize.as VCG report, 8-Bit Big Band is a 30-65 member jazz/pop group based in New York City that covers a variety of video game musical themes. Even Kirby creator Masahiro Sakurai was both excited and surprised when he wrote the following tweet: “How is this possible? I’m amazed.” Congrats to 8-Bit Big Band and the other winners of this event.
