Play the goblin’s pinball machine in Peglin
Peglin is a roguelike with a unique twist: you’re a cute goblin, and you battle the world by playing a nail-blasting brick machine. “Peglin plays like a combination of Peggle and Slay the Spire,” the developer said, and since a while back, the game has been… exactly right.
The more nails you hit, the more damage you deal to enemies each round. As you battle in the world, you get new orbs to pop the nails, each with their own effects. You’ll also get relics that affect world physics, the types of nails you discover you can pop, and the enemies you fight.
So you probably have a poltorbgeist that goes through the nails as it moves up. Or Matryorbshka, which turns into other smaller balls. And more mundane things – like rocks or rubber balls. It’s a deck builder, but you’re building a bag of weird magic orbs, not a deck. (They call these bag makers in the board game world.)
Developed by indie studio Red Nexus Games, Peglin will be available in Steam Early Access on April 25, 2022.you can find Pegrin on Steam. It has a demo that you can try right now if you want.
