Pokemon 25: The album is now available

Artists from all over the world gather to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokémon with songs inspired by global entertainment franchises and recorded exclusively for “Pokémon 25: Album”. The compilation is released today by Capitol Records in digital and CD formats as part of a year-long large-scale music event launched by The Pokémon Company International in collaboration with Universal Music Group.Get Pokémon 25: Album here. The official video “Ten Cuidado” contributed by J Balvin made its debut today, you can watch it hereThe award-winning Colombian singer, known by most as the global ambassador of reggae music, some of his favorite Pokémon-Pikachu, Hitmontop, Totodil, Loudred, and Fire Dragon-joined the passage In a clip shot in New York City. Colin Tilly (Halsey, Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B) directed Balvin’s MTV VMA award-winning official video “Rojo”.

“I always wanted to be Ash Ketchum, and through this collaboration with Pokémon, I was able to realize my childhood dream,” J Balvin said. “The love for Pokémon inspired my contribution to P25 Music, and’Ten Cuidado’ in the video of my becoming a Pokémon trainer in New York City. I can’t wait to use this song to share my knowledge of the magic with fans all over the world. Baby’s enthusiasm, but still can’t believe I can be a part of this project.”

“Pokémon 25: The release of the album marks the culmination of a year-long musical celebration of Pokémon by many artists around the world,” said Colin Palmer, vice president of marketing for Pokémon International. “From Katy Perry and Post Malone to J Balvin’s contribution to the album released today, all artists have brought a unique perspective to this series, and we hope it can bring the same happiness to music fans as Pokémon has in the past 25 years.”

Tokyo artist/producer Yaffle has created a new track “Reconnect” (feat. Daichi Yamamoto & AAAMYYY) for P25 Music. French singer Louane, British artists Mabel and Jax Jones, and Sinead Harnett further prove the universal appeal of Pokémon. Post Malone released “Only Wanna Be With You (Pokémon 25 Version)”, which is an unexpected interpretation of Hootie and Blowfish, while Katy Perry leads the trend with the exciting single “Electric.” Vince Staples, Cyn, Lil Yachty and Tierra Whack also participated in the celebration. Director Eric Maldin (U2, 30 Seconds To Mars) leads Vince Staples, Mabel and Cyn on a surreal memory path, exploring their early experiences with Pokémon and how they created music for P25 in the new “evolution” A song of an original song” video series. These episodes also include Zhu in the studio, discussing the “Got’Em” of Staples that he discovered in the digital version with his Mabel’s “Take Home” remix. “And the evolution of Cyn’s “Wonderful” mix.
