Retro sci-fi adventure game “Invincible” gets its first trailer

Invincible is a science fiction game based on the 1964 novel of the same name, released last fall. This game is Starward Industries’ first game, the studio is composed of former Techland and CD Projekt Red designers. After sharing screenshots of this fascinating project, Starward released the first trailer, setting a tense atmosphere for space adventure.

The famous science fiction writer Stanislav Lem wrote Invincible, It tells the story of a spacecraft named Invincible Landing on the planet Regis III. Its expedition team is on a mission to find the missing sister ship, but the crew found an alien spacecraft and a mysterious self-replicating life form. The trailer introduces the protagonist Dr. Yasna, the woman exploring the surface of Regis III, and her ally Astrogator Novik. Starward describes the game as a cinematic adventure thriller, with branching storylines leading to multiple endings.

Invincible was originally scheduled to be launched this year, but will be launched in 2022 and is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Although we still know very little about the real-time gameplay of the game, the retro-futuristic aesthetics and famous source materials should be enough to excite science fiction fans.
