Nintenalerts, a generally reliable retail source, discovered that Nintendo plans to lower the price of the standard Nintendo Switch system in Europe next week. Starting from Monday, the price of the Nintendo Switch game console is about 270 Euros, compared to 330 Euros in Europe. Nintendo Switch has been performing well since its launch in March 2017, but in the UK, customers seem to have chosen the updated PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles, and Switch sales have remained flat. Nintendo also hopes to launch an updated Nintendo Switch (OLED model) on October 8, which should help regain interest. Nintendo Europe and Nintendo UK have not yet commented on the rumors of price cuts next Monday.
