Last month PlayStation announced that they were changing PlayStation Plus to a tier 3 system in response to Xbox’s Game Pass.
When a new PlayStation Plus subscription arrives, the PlayStation Now service will be removed, and anyone with PS Now time left will be moved to the PS Plus Premium plan and will not add to their current subscription cost at launch. The annual PS Plus Premium plan will cost twice as much as the current PS Now service – so if you want to get 12 months of PS Plus Premium for half the price by signing up for the old PlayStation Now service, now is the time to do it.
Sony has started removing the ability to purchase annual 12-month memberships through consoles and apps, but luckily you can still buy 12 months of PS Now through the PlayStation Store on the web browser, discovered through this exploit Wario 64.
To do this, you need to deposit £50 in your Playstation wallet. You can top up for just £50 ShopTo £44.85.
After topping up, you can purchase a PlayStation Now 12-month subscription using this direct link. This only works when you are logged into your PlayStation account on the browser, not in the console store or app. Please remember to turn off auto-renewal in Subscription Management in your account after purchase.
The merger from PS Now to the new PS Plus will take place in June, so you’ll get 10 months of PS Plus Premium for half the price! It’s better to get this done as soon as possible than to wait until the merger is near, as Sony may end up preventing people from doing it, and it appears to have done so in the US.
