Shadowrun Remastered Trilogy Coming to Consoles This June
Paradox Interactive has revealed that the Shadowrun trilogy is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch this summer.
More specifically, the newly remastered trilogy is coming to these consoles on June 21. This will be the first time these cyberpunk fantasy RPGs have been released on consoles, previously exclusive to PC. As the name suggests, the trilogy includes three games: the original PC game Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall – Director’s Cut, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong – Extended Edition, all fully remastered.
“Shadowrun Trilogy is a remastered version of the Shadowrun Returns RPG originally published by Harebrained Schemes, updated for the console experience with upgraded graphics, improved performance, and controller-optimized gameplay,” a press release said. wrote. “All three games in the series will launch simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and will be available for pre-order on all platforms starting today.”
Originally funded within 28 hours via Kickstarter, Shadowrun Returns is the first Kickstarter-funded game to launch after raising more than $1 million on the fundraising platform, according to the press release. Shadowrun Returns and the rest of the trilogy are based on the Shadowrun tabletop RPG created by Jordan Weisman, who also helped design Shadowrun Returns.
The Shadowrun Trilogy is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch on June 21st for $39.99.
