Some games still need to be fixed for Intel Alder Lake, but Denuvo says it has everything ready before launch
Intel Alder Lake has some problems in a few games, most of which seem to be due to the use of Denuvo DRM. Well, today we found out which games did encounter problems on Intel Alder Lake, as well as a temporary solution to the problem, and Denuvo itself also said that it is not the person you should be looking for a patch, because it has already completed its part.
Denuvo sent me a statement stating that it has provided the required patches for the affected games and it is now up to the developers to implement them. In fact, it said it was ready to release these patches before Alder Lake was released (yesterday, November 4th).
The following is the full statement from Denuvo Managing Director Reinhard Blaukovitsch:
“Denuvo has been working closely with Intel, as we have done with other hardware vendors, to verify that all of our security features are working as expected, and to test compatibility with their latest CPUs. It must be emphasized that almost all users Denuvo’s gaming technology will be used out of the box with Alder Lake CPU.
Suppose you are a fan of old games. In this case, a very limited number of affected games need to be reprotected and patched to ensure compatibility with Intel’s latest processors. In rare cases, compatibility issues can cause a crash, sometimes for hours during the game. Denuvo has contacted each publisher of the affected games and provided Alder Lake compatible patches for these games before release.
We believe that a small number of publishers of affected games are working hard to release updates to resolve this incompatibility issue as soon as possible. “
As mentioned in the statement, only a few games are unavailable today Today’s Alder Lake, it is expected that some of them will be collectively repaired in the upcoming Windows 11 update. Others seem to be fixed by developers when possible.
Intel has previously confirmed that it is working with developers to implement these patches. Hopefully, the fact that developers already have the relevant patches means that everything will be fine for Intel Alder Lake chips soon.
