Son of Light’s Aurora Tomorrow Joins Bloodstained Free DLC

Tenacious protagonist Aurora from Ubisoft’s Children of Light will appear in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night as a playable character on select platforms starting March 31. Her addition was originally teased in 2019 with the Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight.

Bloodstain’s publisher 505 Games has released a brief trailer teasing Aurora’s upcoming addition, but more information can be found in a new blog post game siteThere, a bit of background on why she’s coming to a new franchise.

“Aurora lost her way and woke up in a strange and dangerous new land. With the sword of Matildis, she must find a way to escape, accompanied by the loyal Ignacyrus. Despite her critical situation, Aurora is not alone. Johannes is helping her empower her by transforming chest items throughout the game,” said Jason Ryan, Community Manager at 505 Games.

Aurora will be available for free and can be selected as a playable character when starting the new Bloodstained campaign. She’ll be listed alongside the game’s native characters Miriam and Zangetsu.

This DLC will not appear on every version of Bloodstained. Tomorrow marks the arrival of Aurora on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, but Switch owners will have to wait for an unspecified later date.

Child of Light is a 2014 turn-based role-playing game developed by Ubisoft Montreal. The protagonist, Aurora, is a princess who finds herself in another world and fights to get home with the help of her firefly sidekick Igniculus, who also appears Now in the Bloodstained DLC. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the spiritual successor to Koji Igarashi’s game in the style of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, released in 2019 following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015.
